The Aqua One Blue Sponge (139S) is a 15PPI course replacement filter pad designed specifically for the Aqua One Ocellaris 1400 and 1400UVC external canister filters. 
Product Description & Features
  • Bio-Mechanical Filtration: Made of pored foam to capture larger solid debris and waste particles while preventing finer pads from clogging prematurely.
  • Bacterial Colonization: Features an open-pore structure that offers a large surface area for beneficial aerobic bacteria to grow.
  • Pack Size: Supplied as a convenient pack of two pads.
    Maintenance & Lifespan
  • Cleaning: Can be rinsed out during filter maintenance using a bucket of old aquarium water (never tap water, as chlorine kills beneficial bacteria).
  • Replacement: Recommended to be replaced every 3 to 6 months as the sponge structure breaks down and loses efficiency over time.
