Agreement and Customer Responsibility

These terms form the entire agreement between you and Rodney’s Tropicals and may only be amended in writing.

By placing an order with Rodney’s Tropicals, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete, that the payment method used is your own, and that sufficient funds are available to cover the full cost of your purchase.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their tank is cycled and ready for new fish. Rodney’s Tropicals is not responsible for deaths due to incompatible tank conditions, improper acclimation, or aggression from other fish.

Delivery Restrictions

We do not deliver to rural (RD) addresses. If a rural address is entered at checkout, we will contact you to arrange an alternative non-rural address or discuss other possible delivery options.

Shipping

All care is taken when shipping live fish, but Rodney's Tropicals cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged boxes during transit.

If any fish arrive deceased, a clear photo must be taken of the fish inside the unopened bag and emailed to us immediately upon opening the box. This allows us to assess and offer the appropriate resolution.

Custom Tanks

Custom tank orders require a 50% deposit to confirm the order, with the balance due on pick-up.

Please note: All deposits are non-refundable.

Website Stock Levels

Rodney's Tropicals operates both an in-person shop and an online store. In-store sales are not live-synced with the website, so online stock numbers may not always be up to date.

Stock levels are updated daily after close of business.

If an item is oversold due to this delay, we will contact you with options. You can choose to select a different fish of equal value, hold the order until new stock arrives (usually the following week), or request a full refund.

Prebuilt Tanks and Custom orders

Prebuilt tanks and custom orders are pickup only, unless prior arrangement has been made for local delivery (fees apply). Local delivery must be booked and paid in advance.

Privacy Policy

Customer information is kept confidential and used only for order processing and communication related to your purchase.

Changes to Terms

These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. Any updates will be reflected on this page.

Warranties

Some of our products come with manufacturer warranties. Any included instructions must be followed to activate and maintain warranty coverage.

Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase in case of any warranty claims or faults.

Products must be used only as intended, and all instructions provided must be followed carefully. Customers are responsible for using appropriate skill and care when handling and installing products.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

Orders must be paid in full before any items are shipped or collected.

All products are subject to availability and remain the property of Rodney’s Tropicals until full payment has been received.
