Tank Size: 100 litres or more
Temperature: 22-28°C
pH: 6.5-7.5
Tankmates: Can be kept with barbs, gouramis, danios, and other fast-moving fish. Avoid slow-moving species like discus or angelfish, as they may try to latch onto them.
Diet: Primarily herbivorous. They graze on algae but should also be fed sinking algae wafers, blanched vegetables, and occasional protein-based foods.
Care Tips: Golden Algae Eaters become more territorial as they grow, so provide hiding spots and enough space. They are best kept singly or in a large group to spread out aggression.
